Heat Transfer Laboratory Equipment

The Apparatus consists of three concentric pipes mounted onsuitable stand. The space between innermost and the middle pipeis fixed with a lagging material and the space between the middleand the outer most is filled with and other lagging material. Thelagged pipe is heated with a cartridge heater inserted at the axlelength of the pipe. Voltmeter and ammeter on the panel canmeasure the input to the heater. The intermediate temperatures canbe measured by the thermocouples attached at the surfaces of thepipe. Thus the resultant conductivity of the materials can be foundout.
